KKR vs GT: Kolkata Knight Riders hosted Gujarat Titans in the 39th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The match between the two teams took place at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Monday (21st April).
Gujarat Titans continued their golden run in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 as they beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 39 runs. Asked to bat, the visitors were off to a magnificent start with the bat, with skipper Shubman Gill (90) and Sai Sudharsan (52) continuing their golden touch with the bat.
The duo put pressure on the Kolkata Knight Riders bowlers with their half-centuries and added 114 runs for the opening stand.
After Sudharsan was back in the hut, Jos Buttler (41*) joined hands with skipper Gill, and the duo together went on to put in 58 runs for the second wicket. Buttler, in the end, made sure the Gujarat Titans finished on high as they posted 198 for three.Kolkata Knight Riders didn't have a great start to their innings as Rahmanullah Gurbaz fell in the first over. After that, Sunil Narine (17) and skipper Ajinkya Rahane (50) put the pressure back on the Gujarat bowlers with their 41-run stand.
Skipper Rahane slammed a brilliant half-century, but he didn't get the support from the other end.
