Delhi: In the current season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024), whenever the great cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni comes to bat, thousands of fans present in the stadium simultaneously start chanting the name Dhoni-Dhoni. During the match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), explosive all-rounder Andre Russell had to cover his ears when Dhoni came to bat. Now during the match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), something similar was seen when Dhoni arrived and in such a situation a big warning has been given.
Against Lucknow, Dhoni played a stormy inning of 28* runs on 9 balls at a strike rate of 311.11. He hit three fours and two sixes in his innings and entertained the fans a lot. CSK looked to be in trouble at one time after losing five wickets for 90 runs. After this, Ravindra Jadeja and Moeen Ali made a partnership of 51 runs and finally Jadeja made a partnership of 35 runs with Dhoni, taking the Chennai team to 176 runs in 20 overs.
Although the match was played in Lucknow, CSK and especially Dhoni got huge support in the stadium. Fans came to Ekna Stadium wearing CSK flags and jerseys. During this time, Sasha Hurley, wife of Lucknow's legendary wicketkeeper batsman Quinton de Kock, was present in the stadium.
During this match he experienced something which he had never experienced before. In fact, after the dismissal of Moeen Ali, when Dhoni came out of the dressing room to bat, the fans started shouting slogans in his name. In the last few matches, Dhoni has broken all decibel records from coming out of the dressing room to reaching the crease.

Meanwhile, a smartwatch worn by De Kock's wife warned that the sound was too loud, potentially dangerous to the ears. According to De Kock's wife after the match, when Dhoni came to bat, there was so much noise in the stadium that if you listened for 10 minutes, your ears could get damaged and the clock was giving repeated warnings.
Why is Dhoni not batting in the upper order?
Due to Dhoni's excellent performance in this IPL season, fans are demanding to send him to bat in the upper order. In such a situation, CSK head coach Stephen Fleming revealed that Mahi is still recovering from the knee surgery he underwent after last year's IPL.

The 51-year-old former New Zealand captain said, “Dhoni's batting has been inspiring this season. His skills in pre-season were excellent. Due to the recovery of his knee, he can only face a limited number of balls comfortably. We would love to see more of him, but we have to manage his time wisely in the tournament.”
