He scored 82 runs off 26 balls with the help of 6 fours and 6 sixes. He shared an important partnership with Nehal Wadhers, who amassed 27 runs off 22 deliveries, laced with 2 fours and 1.

The openers, Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh, also made important contributions. Arya, fresh from his hundred from the previous game against Chennai Super Kings, accumulated 36 runs off 13 deliveries, packed with 4 sixes and 2 fours.

Prabhsimran managed 42 runs off 23 balls, including 7 fours and 1 six. Shashank Singh, who is in form, scored just 2 runs. Glenn Maxwell, who is one of the biggest flops in IPL history, registered another low score for Punjab. He was clean bowled by Harshal Patel on a score of 3 runs off 7 balls.
