It was a forgettable day for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) fast bowler Mohammed Shami as he claimed an unwanted record against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in an IPL 2025 match in Hyderabad on Saturday night (April 12).

Shami conceded 75 runs in his four-over spell and missed the most expensive IPL figures by one run. However, Shami’s 0/75 is now the worst bowling figures by an Indian in the history of IPL. Shami surpassed Mohit Sharma.
PBKS Post 245/6
PBKS posted a massive 245/6 in 20 overs after skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss and opted to bat at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
Shami, who opened the bowling, leaked six fours and seven sixes in his 24-ball spell.Marcos Stoinis was severe on Shami in the final over of the innings. The Australia smashed Shami for four successive sixes off the final four deliveries. The 20th over of PBKS innings saw 27 runs being scored off Shami.
Earlier, during IPL 2025, on March 23, Rajasthan Royals (RR) fast bowler Jofra Archer recorded the most expensive spell in the IPL, against SRH.
