The 34th league match of the ongoing IPL cricket series in India ended yesterday in Lucknow.

In this match, there was a clash between the CSK team captained by Ruduraj Gaikwad and the Lucknow Supergiants team captained by KL Rahul. Lucknow won the toss and announced to bowl first. After this, the CSK team, which came to play first, scored 176 runs after losing 6 wickets at the end of the stipulated 20 overs. For Chennai team, Ravindra Jadeja scored the maximum 57 runs and Rahane scored 36 runs.

Later, playing with a target of 177 runs to win, Lucknow team has scored 180 runs for 8 wickets after losing two wickets at the end of 19 overs. In this match, KL Rahul scored 82 runs and Quinton de Kock scored 54 runs for Lucknow team.

Talking about their defeat after the match, Chennai team captain Ruduraj Gaikwad said, we performed well in batting in this match. Players cannot be asked to perform better than this.

After a good start after the power play, they lost wickets at regular intervals in the middle overs but could not score big. We scored 10 to 15 runs less in this match. As per the Impact Player rule, an additional 20 runs are always required per match. So, I think 190 would have been an ideal score on this ground. However, it is worth noting that Ruduraj Gaikwad had said that he is looking forward to facing him in the next match in Chepauk.
