Delhi Capitals who is the only team to remain unbeaten so far in the IPL 2025, struggles with quick wickets in their clash against RCB at Chinnaswamy Stadium.

DC lost their key opening batter Faf du Plessis for two runs in the second over of the match, while Bhuvneshwar dismissed Fraser-McGurk for 7 runs in the third over. Later, in the fifth over, Bhuvneshwar struck again and dismissed Abishek Porel for seven runs.

Speaking of the match, Delhi Capitals won the toss and elected to bowl first. Virat Kohli and Phil Salt opened the inning and Mitchell Starc opened the bowling attack.

The duo made an aggressive start and crossed the fifty rus mark at the end of the 3rd over.

While the duo was seen as dangerous, Phil Salt lost his wicket via a runout dismissal for 37 runs. Mukesh Kumar in the sixth over, dismissed Padikkal for one run and contained RCB for 64 runs for 2 wickets at the end of first powerplay.

Vipraj Nigam in the next over, dismissed Kohli for 22 runs and made a massive breakthrough. Rajat Patidar and Liam Livingstone started to build a partnership, Mohit Sharma in the 10th over, dismissed Liam for four runs. At the end of 10 overs, RCB scored 91 runs for four wickets loss.

While Rajat Patidar was expected to make an impact on the scoreboard, Kuldeep Yadav in the 15th over, dismissed RCB captain for 25 runs and restricted RCB to score 117 runs for 6 wickets at the end of 15 overs.

With Tim David’s 20 balls 37 runs, RCB managed to score 163 runs for seven wickets at the end of 20 overs.

While chasing, Delhi made a terrible start by losing their opening batters Faf du Plessis and Fraser-McGurk for two and seven runs respectively. Yash Dayal dismissed Faf for 2 runs in the final delivery of the second over while Bhuvneshwar dismissed McGurk for seven runs in the third over.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, again in the fifth over dismissed Porel for seven runs and contained Delhi for 39 runs for three wickets at the end of first powerplay.
