Rajasthan Royals (RR) vice-captain Riyan Parag is known for his fierce attitude on the field. In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 game between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Parag again hit the headlines for his aggressive behaviour.

Chasing a huge target of 216 runs, RR lost their top-order batters Yashasvi Jaiswal and Nitish Rana within the first powerplay but Parag displayed his belligerence and produced some fine strokes from his bat. He reached 26 runs in just 13 deliveries which helped RR to recover from their horrendous start.

However, in the seventh over of the innings, Parag looked to attack Kulwant Khejroliya's outside the off delivery but got outside edge which went to Gujarat wicket-keeper Jos Buttler's safe hands.

The on-field umpires signalled towards the third umpire and the replays showed a nick, and also corroborated that Buttler grabbed the ball cleanly. Following the visuals, the on-field umpire raised his finger which ended Parag's innings. However, the youngster displayed discontent as he felt his bat collided with the ground the same time the ball was close to the bat. Therefore, a spike would have appeared for this reason.

Sai Sudharsan's 82 helps GT deliver a mammoth target to RR

Earlier in the first innings,GTbatted courageously and notched up 217 runs in their 20-over quota. Sai Sudharsan again stepped up for Gujarat and played a standout innings of 82 off 53.

His innings was studded with 11 boundaries (eight fours and three maximums). Shahrukh Khan and Rahul Tewatia also took RR's bowling attack to the cleaners and chipped in with their 36 (20) and 24* (12) respectively.

For RR, Jofra Archer had an amazing day as the speedster bowled a frugal and wicket-taking spell for his team. Bowling his four overs, he splurged only 30 runs and also got the crucial scalp of GT skipper Shubman Gill in the third over of the match.
