LSG vs CSK: Lucknow Super Giants beat Chennai Super Kings by 8 wickets in a one sided match. Batting first, CSK scored 176 runs thanks to Ravindra Jadeja’s half-century of 57 runs and MS Dhoni’s explosive innings of 28 runs. Chasing the target, the LSG team maintained its dominance from the start. Both Lucknow’s opening batsmen KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock scored fifties. De Kock scored 54 runs off 43 balls. While Rahul scored 82 runs in 53 balls and made an important contribution in helping the team win by 8 wickets.

De Kock was dismissed on the last ball of the 15th over and the team’s score at this time was 134 runs. Lucknow Super Giants still needed 43 runs off the final 30 balls. On one hand, Rahul stood at the crease, while at the other end, Nicholas Puran started hitting the CSK bowlers as soon as he arrived. LSG batsmen scored 27 runs in the next 2 overs, due to which the result of the match was now a mere formality. Lucknow needed 16 off 18 balls. In the last overs, the ball was not hitting the bat properly, so it was becoming difficult for the batsmen to score runs. Meanwhile, Tushar Deshpande ensured the victory of Lucknow by giving 15 runs in the 19th over. Nicholas Pooran scored 23 off 12 balls and hit the winning shot to give LSG an 8 wicket win.

CSK bowling failure
Chennai Super Kings bowlers could not maintain their grip on the match. Only Mustafizur Rahman and Mathisha Pathira could take 1 wicket each from Chennai. Pitch-wise, CSK had a low score to defend, so the bowlers needed to take wickets at regular intervals. But Ravindra Jadeja, Tushar Deshpande and Deepak Chahar also failed to take wickets.

Chennai have given Lucknow a target of 177 runs to win. Jadeja played an innings of 57 runs from Chennai. While Dhoni scored 28 runs in 9 balls and was not out. Krunal Pandya got two wickets from Lucknow.
