Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandavia fiercely appreciated the Indian Tigres and Tigresses Campaign on Monday on behalf of TV 9 Network. Under this historic campaign, India's top young football enthusiasts were discovered across the country. A large number of young talents took part in this mega event and showed their skills.
Union Sports Minister Mandavia encouraged the players on returning home after a historic visit to Europe. Mandavia also inspired young players to work hard and set a big goal for 2036 Olympics. At the same time, the young faces also requested to help the country a special identity in the FIFA World Cup.
Mansukh Mandavia inspired the youth by giving examples of Indian Army soldiers, who like players get a great opportunity to represent the country. He interacted with young talents and asked him about his experience during his visit to Europe and also expressed confidence in India's football future.
More than 50,000 registrations were conducted under the mega campaign in which 10,000 participants were selected for regional trials, but only 28 talented superstars were selected for a special training program in Austria and Germany.
Launched in the world's largest football talent hunt program for the age group of 12-14 and 15–17, the Indian Tigers and Tigress campaign was launched in April last year. It was concluded with the year -long campaign to realize his dream related to 28 footballers.
These youth champions received a historic farewell from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who blessed the News 9 Indian Tigers and Tigrace campaign at the What India Thinks Today (WITT) summit in New Delhi on 28 March.
The young football champion showed flexibility, skills and determination in a luxurious way during intensive and tight training session under top European coaches in the city of Gamunden, Austria.
The weather there is very cold and despite the challenging weather situation, young footballers kept their attention by taking full advantage of their training session. After 2 days of intensive practice, his biggest exam came as a friendly match against the Gamunden Football Academy.
Indian boys performed brilliantly and defeated their opposing team 7–0 in the unilateral match in the under-15 category. Meanwhile, the girls performed enthusiastic but suffered a tough defeat in the under-13 category.
The team adorned with young players played very heartily with the German Club VFB Stuttgart, who is a young development partner of the TV 9 network initiative, who closely analyzed the performance of Indian players.
After closely monitoring 'Special 28', 4 players were selected for a 2-day training session with Stutgart's Under-12 team in Germany. Indian players practiced intensely about fast passing, accuracy and passing under pressure.
Meanwhile, coming back to Austria, other players analyzed the data-based performance in the Gammunden Performance Testing Lab, including sprint speed, balance, strength and recovery. From India to Gamunden and then to Germany, the tigers and Tigress set a wonderful journey and installed a unique standard that no one else had built before.
