Delhi: In IPL 2025, Punjab Kings (PBKS) is making a tremendous start this time. The team has done brilliantly by winning two out of three matches so far and the points are at number four in the table. A big reason for this great performance is the team's new captain Shreyas Iyer, who was bought by the franchise for Rs 26.75 crore in the mega auction.

In this auction, Punjab also included star spinner Yuzvendra Chahal in its team for a huge amount of Rs 18 crore. Fans were quite excited to see both of them in the same team.

Now Chahal himself has talked about his bonding and his captaincy with Iyer. During the geographstar press room, Chahal said, “Shreyas is a very good captain. We can talk to him openly. He allows us to bowl according to our planning. He is of calm nature and does not panic even during pressure.”

Chahal praised Iyer's nature and said, “He is a very good friend of mine. He listens to both senior and junior – whether any player is new or experienced, can give him his advice. His thinking is very open. All the players in the team feel comfortable with him and are enjoying his captaincy.”

'Team balance fantastic'

Chahal is confident that the Punjab team can make it to the top 2 this time. He said, “We are expecting to come in the top two in the points table. Our team is very balanced. Talking about batting, we have batsmen till number 9 in our team. We have 7-8 options in bowling. If you see the entire strength of the team, we are one of the strongest teams so far.”

Punjab Kings, who have not won any title in the history of IPL so far, have come to the fray with full force and their eyes are on winning the IPL 2025 title. Fans, led by Iyer, also have high expectations from the team.
