The penalty started with Hardik Pandya. On March 30, Hardik Pandya took command by Mumbai Indians after facing the ban of a match. But due to which he was banned, due to the same mistake, Hardik was again fined. In his very first match of IPL 2025, Heartly became a victim of slow over rate and he was fined Rs 12 lakh.

On April 2, Digvesh Rathi, spinner of Lucknow Super Giants, had to pay the price of his notebook celebrations. Between 2 to 5 April i.e. on April 3, there was also news of a sudden return of a player from the middle IPL. Gujarat Titans fast bowler Kagiso Rabada had to return home for personal reasons. A statement was issued by the franchise, saying that nothing can be said on Rabada's return.
On 7 April, the 5th player was fined in IPL 2025. This time Ishant Sharma was found guilty of Level One. Their match fees have been cut by 25 percent.
