It was courtesy of an extraordinary effort at sweeper cover by Aniket Verma, which brought about the dismissal of Washington Sundar on the first delivery of the 14th over of the run-chase between the clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans.
Sundar's majestic innings was cut short by a moment of brilliance by the 23-year-old.
A short-of-a-length delivery outside off was cut uppishly towards Aniket. The fielder was quick to run in from the fence to dive in front and hang on to a truly athletic effect. The final verdict was provided by the third umpire as to Aniket's hands being underneath the ball on contact with the ground.

However, it was not meant to be for the home side. GT ended up getting the better of SRH by seven wickets with 20 deliveries to spare. Earlier in the evening, Aniket struck 18 off 14 deliveries. The hosts ended on 152/8 at the end of their allotted quota.
Although GT were handed two early jolts in the form of Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler, they recovered superbly well to stage a comeback. Skipper, Shubman Gill, and Impact Player, Sherfane Rutherford, remained unbeaten at the end to ensure the away side clinched with relative ease.
