Delhi: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) head coach Daniel Vettori has supported his team's top order aggressive game, despite another poor batting performance against Gujarat Titans (GT). However, he also admitted that the batsmen would have to respect the circumstances and understand that the opposition teams are coming down with a lot of strategy against the top-3 batsmen of SRH.

In the match played in Hyderabad, SRH's batting flopped once again and the team could score 152/8 in 20 overs. In response, Gujarat Titans achieved the target in just 16.4 overs and won by 7 wickets.

Vettori said after the match, “We know our style will work, but we will have to play according to the circumstances and do better assessment, and this may probably not be able to do.

He further said, “We thought that 160-170 would be a good score, and this was our goal at the beginning of the day. We felt that if the batsmen tick, form a partnership and attack in the last over, then we can reach that score. We were almost near, but 20 runs are less,”

SRH started the IPL 2025, when a huge score of 286/6 against Rajasthan Royals, but since then the team's performance has fallen. However, the coach made it clear that there is no panic in the team, but it is necessary to improve in view of the situation.

The former New Zealand captain said, “I don't think Pat Cummins would ever feel nervous in his life, and I myself am the same. But, we know how difficult the season can be due to four consecutive defeats, when you are runner-ups last year and then this time you start the bang, the expectations are increased. But, we have not reached all the four departments in the last four matches.”
