With Siraj’s four wickets haul and Gill’s unbeaten 61 runs, Gujarat Titans registered their hat-trick victory in the IPL 2025 by defeating SRH by 7 wickets.

Speaking of the match, Gujarat Titans won the toss and opted to bowl first where Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head opened the batting for SRH while Siraj opened for GT.

In the very first over, Siraj dismissed dangerous Travis Head for 8 runs and made an early breakthrough for GT.

Though Head dismissed cheaply, Abhishek Sharma started to strike hard with the bat but Siraj in the fourth delivery of the fifth over, dismissed Sharma for 18 runs.

At the end of six overs, SRH managed to score only 45 runs for two wickets. SRH’s 45 in the first powerplay becomes their second lowest powerplay in Hyderabad in nine innings since 2024.

Soon, Prasidh joined the party by dismissing Ishan Kishan for 17 runs in the 8th over while SRH managed to score 64 runs at the end of 10 overs.

Nitish Kumar Reddy and Heinrich Klaasen started to build a partnership with some crucial shots but Sai Kishore in the 14th over, dismissed Klaasen and broke the partnership. Without much contribution from SRH’s lower-order batters, Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to score 152 runs for eight wickets at the end of 20 overs.

On the other hand, the Gujarat Titans made a struggling start by losing a couple of wickets inside the powerplay. But captain Gill and Washington Sundar made an impressive stand and added 90 runs for the next wickets.

With Sherfane Rutherford’s 16 balls 35 runs, GT chased down the target in 16.4 overs and defeated SRH by 7 wickets.
