Team India and Mumbai Indians (MI) pacer Jasprit Bumrah is fit and will play the franchise’s next match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), confirmed head coach Mahela Jayawardene. MI and RCB will compete at the Wankhede Stadium on April 7.
Bumrah joined the franchise on April 6 and the five-time champions posted a video to welcome their match-winner. He completed his rehabilitation at Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.
Bumrah had been out of action since the fifth and final Test against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
He suffered a back injury and was ruled out of the ODI and T20I series against England. Bumrah failed to recover for the ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan and Dubai. However, the Men in Blue went on to win the global tournament.Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians have lost three matches in the ongoing season of the cash-rich league.
