Dhoni was born into a middle class family. His father Paan Singh worked in a Mecon company. Dhoni was interested in football and badminton since childhood. But in the cricket world, he stepped slowly and never looked back again.
Dhoni had worked as a ticket collector in the railway, but he also left that for cricket. He played domestic cricket for Jharkhand and made it to the Indian team in 2004.
