Rajasthan Royals have returned to winning ways in the Indian Premier League 2025. They started with a defeat to Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders but bounced back against Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings. The batters and bowlers have started contributing, and the team is winning key moments during the course of the contests.

RR retained six players for the 18th season of the tournament but allowed big names Jos Buttler, Trent Boult, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Ravichandran Ashwin to leave. This could have impacted any other franchise, but Rajasthan are winning without the services of these four world-class players. Ashwin and Chahal are playing for Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings, while Buttler and Boult are part of Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians.

Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, Shimron Hetmyer and Sandeep Sharma were retained.

Former India player Navjot Singh Sidhu lauded RR head coach Rahul Dravid for backing the best talents and coming up with a winning combination in the ongoing edition.

“They are focusing on the stability. The batters are not trying to hit too hard during the matches. Yashasvi Jaiswal took his time against Punjab and scored 67 off 45 balls. If he gets set in the remaining matches, you could see him scoring 100 runs in 50 balls,” he said.

“Rajasthan left out four players and retained six cricketers. The team is standing tall, and the credit goes to Rahul Dravid, who can do anything,” he added.
