IPL: Indian Premier League (IPL) does not only test the playground, but also the players' behavior. In this episode, BCCI has once again announced to ban two players, taking a tough decision. It is clear from this decision that those going against the rules of the board will not get any concession.
The board has made it clear that those who ignore the rules will not be spared. This decision reflects the dignity of the game and the importance of the rules.
The two players we are referring to include England batsman Harry Brook and Indian all -rounder Ravindra Jadeja. Although Jadeja's case is old and he was banned in 2010, while Harry Brook is banned for two years for playing in this season of IPL.
Harry Brook has refused to play in the IPL for the second consecutive year. He was bought by Delhi Capitals for Rs 6.25 crore, but withdrew his name for the preparation of England's upcoming series. Earlier in 2024, he did not play the tournament even due to his grandmother's death.
According to IPL policies, if a player withdraws name without a solid reason before the start of the season, he can be banned for two years and the BCCI imposed a two -year ban on playing in the IPL on Harry Brook under the same rule.
Indian all -rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who launched his IPL (IPL) career with Rajasthan Royals in 2008, was banned in 2010.
This ban was imposed on Ravindra Jadeja in the IPL because he did not renew his contract with Rajasthan Royals and interacted with other franchisees without permission, especially with Mumbai Indians, for high salary.
This was a serious violation of the guidelines of the IPL players, resulting in the entire 2010 season. Despite the ban, Jadeja was selected in the Indian team for the T20 World Cup held in the West Indies in 2010.
