The 34th match of IPL 2024 was played today (April 19) between Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings. Lucknow captain KL Rahul won the toss and elected to bowl first at the Ekna Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

After this CSEC scored 176 for 6 in 20 overs while batting first. In reply, Lucknow scored 180 for 2 in the 19th over and won the match.

This is Lucknow's fourth win in seven matches, on the other hand, it is Chennai's third loss in seven matches.

Chasing CSK's target of 177 runs, Lucknow captain KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock gave the team a brilliant start. Rahul and de Kock shared a partnership of 135 runs in 15 overs. This partnership completely turned the match in Lucknow's favour.

Rahul scored 82 off 53 balls with 9 fours and 4 sixes. De Kock scored 54 runs off 43 balls. De Kock hit 5 fours and 1 six in his innings. Nicholas Pooran remained unbeaten on 23 and Marcus Stoinis on 8.

Earlier, Chennai scored 176 for 6 in 20 overs when they batted first. For CSK, Jadeja scored an unbeaten 57 off 40 balls with the help of 5 fours and a six. While Dhoni scored 28 runs unbeaten in 9 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes. Ajinkya Rahane scored 36 runs. Gaikwad was dismissed for 17 runs. Rachin lost his wicket for nil. Moeen scored 30 runs.

Krunal Pandya took 2 wickets from Lucknow. Bishnoi, Stoinis, Mohsin and Yash Thakur got one wicket each.
