Pbks playing xi: The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League has been performing by the Punjab Kings captained by Shreyas Iyer. The team defeated Gujarat Titans in a thrilling match in Ahmedabad in the first match and then won a big win at Lucknow Super Giants' home ground Ekana Stadium. Now after this, for the first time this season, Punjab Kings have reached Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Cricket Stadium in their home crowd i.e.

Mullanpur, where they will face Rajasthan Royals on 5 April. Playing XI of Punjab has been revealed for this match.

Captain will not change

Under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer, Punjab Kings have won two matches and will be eyeing a hat -trick this season. It is expected that head coach Ricky Ponting and captain Iyer will not make any changes in the playing XI against Rajasthan Royals. However, an additional bowlers can be included in the squad as an impact player while defending the runs as the records of the bowlers on Mullanpur are nothing special, due to which captain Iyer would like to have more and more bowlers.

Captain in amazing form

This season Shreyas Iyer is batting in a wonderful form. So far Iyer has played two matches this season and both times he has played an unbeaten half -century. Iyer scored 97 runs against Gujarat in a stormy style, while Iyer hit an unbeaten 52 off 30 balls against Lucknow. Iyer has contributed a lot in both the initial wins and has so far scored 149 runs with an explosive strike rate of 206.94 this season.

Iyer is in fourth place in the orange cap race and at the speed of the bullet he is moving towards the Orange Cap.
