Mumbai Indians had an easier outing, beating KKR comfortably by eight wickets at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Trent Boult and Deepak Chahar tore through the visitors in the powerplay, and MI's reocrd-breaking debutant Ashwani Kumar took care of the middle order as KKR fell for a paltry 116. Ryan Rickelton's unbeaten 61 and support from Suryakumar Yadav's pyrotechnics meant that the home team finished off an easy chase in merely 12.5 overs.
