Mohammed Siraj is enjoying his stint with Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League. He played his best game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, taking three wickets and walking with the Player of the Match trophy. The dismissals of Phil Salt, Devdutt Padikkal and Liam Livingstone put the home franchise on the back foot, and they posted 169/8.

Chasing 170, GT didn’t face any trouble and won the game by 8 wickets in 17.5 overs. It was Gujarat’s second win on the trot, and their only defeat came against Punjab Kings at home.

Legendary Indian pacer Ashish Nehra is the head coach of the Titans, and he has a habit of talking to his players during the matches.

Siraj is getting a lot of help from the ex-speedster. “Ashu Bhai (Ashish Nehra) has been helpful since my first day. He gives me complete freedom to express myself in the middle. Ashish said that even if I am hit for 60-70 runs from four overs, he doesn’t care. All he wants from me is to go on the field and enjoy bowling,” he said on Star Sports.

Siraj also shed light on the captaincy of Shubman Gill. “Shubman Gill talks to all the players and motivates everyone. It helps us to perform. I told him to give me the ball in all the three phases of the game,” he added.
