In the Indian cricket team, the middle order batsman Shreyas Iyer has once again confirmed his place. The player was dropped from the team due to indiscipline, but has returned on the basis of his performance. So now the BCCI is also almost ready to give a big prize to the player. Shreyas's entry is confirmed to be in the Annual Central Contract, but it is being claimed that the player will not find a place in the last -class category, but will be directly in the BCCI's highest priced A Plus category. Also, two players from this category will be shown the way out.
The middle order batsman Shreays Iyer scored the most runs for the Indian team in the Champions Trophy 2025. He is constantly doing well for Team India. The player was dropped by the BCCI as indiscipline from the previous Annual Central Contract. But he returned to perform in domestic cricket and also won the Champions Trophy with Team India. It is now being claimed that the player will get a return to the central contract, that is also the highest price of BCCI. Let me tell you, BCCI gives players salary in four categories. In which 7 crores are available in A Plus category, 5 crores in A category, 3 crore in B category and one crore in C category.
A rule has been made by the BCCI to find a place in the Central Contract. According to which, only those players can get a place in the Central Contract list who have played at least 3 Tests or 8 ODIs or 10 T20 International matches per calendar. Shreys Iyer has now played 8 ODIs after Team India was out of the contract. He was part of 5 matches in the Champions Trophy along with the England series.
Shreys Iyer is being asked to find a place in the A Plus category, so many reports claim that two players from this category will also get a demonstration. There are only 4 players in this category Jaspreet Bumrah, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja. In which a category of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma can be reduced to a place in A. The reason for this is being told that Rohit and Virat have taken retirement from T20 and there is constant doubt about Rohit Sharma's Test format. However, there has been no talk from the BCCI about the players till the present time. But reports claim that the board can do so.
