Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, Kavya Maran's franchise Sunrisers is the home ground of Hyderabad (SRH). SRH plays all its home matches at this ground. In the recent past, its batsmen have entertained the audience with their sharp batting. But now this team, captained by Pat Cummins, will not be seen playing here. The reason behind this is the ongoing controversy with Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA). Kavya Maran's franchise has made many serious allegations against HCA. According to media reports, high HCA officials have threatened for free tickets and have also tried to blackmailing, which SRH is unhappy. Therefore, she is considering shifting the remaining domestic matches to another venue.
According to the Times of India, Srinath TB, General Manager of Sunrisers Hyderabad, has expressed his displeasure by writing an email to HCA's Treasurer CJ Srinivas Rao. He said that he is not ready to tolerate such behavior. He made many serious allegations and wrote, "All these unprofessional threats and actions are clear from HCA, especially HCA President that you do not want Sunrisers to play in your stadium. If this is the case, please tell me in writing, so that we can inform you to inform your management and our management that we can be shifted on any other venue. Will go. "
Srinath alleged in email, "We have been working with HCA for the last 12 years, but we have been constantly facing problems and harassment since last season. For many years, HCA has been allotted 50 tickets for F12A box out of 3,900 Complementary tickets. But now it is being claimed that the capacity of this box is 30. The demand is being made, when we came to know about this, we want to find a solution through discussion. "
In fact, the dispute between the franchise and the Hyderabad Cricket Association began on March 27, when HCA representatives shut down a box during SRH and LSG match. The franchise said that they pay the stadium fare and they have authority over the stadium during the IPL. But the F3 box was closed due to not giving 20 additional free tickets in the last match.
The franchise alleged that the box was refused until the ticket was not available. He also said that in the last two years, HCA has threatened his employees many times and such forced cases have come out before. HCA President Jagan Mohan has confirmed this email. He admitted that there were differences between SRH and HCA, but hoped that the matter would be resolved soon.
