CSK struggles with two quick dismissals against RCB at Chepauk

The Chennai Super Kings(CSK) lost their two key players in the same over from Josh Hazlewood while chasing 196 runs. In the second over of the inning, Josh Hazlewood dismissed Rahul Tripathi(5) and Ruturaj Gaikwad(0) and turned things upside down for CSK.

Speaking of the game, Virat Kohli and Phil Salt opened the batting attack for RCB, while Khaleel Ahmed opened the bowling attack. Phil Salt struck consecutive boundaries in the first over and managed to score nine runs off the first over.

Phil Salt continued the momentum and struck a six and boundary in the first two balls from Ashwin who bowled the second over of the inning. CSK lost a review in the third over in an attempt to dismiss Virat Kohli.

In the final delivery of the 5th over, Salt lost his wicket following a lightning-fast stumping from MS Dhoni.

With a steady inning from Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar, RCB scored 93 runs for two wickets at the end of 10 overs. In the very next over bowled by Pathirana, after being struck in the helmet, Kohli smashed back-to-back six and boundary.

In the next over, Rajat Patidar had a second chance after Hooda dropped a sitter and had another chance after Tripathi dropped another catch.

But in the next over, Noor Ahmad dismissed Virat Kohli for 31 runs and broke the 41 runs stand. With Rajat Patidar’s power-hitting ability, RCB scored 138 runs for three wickets at the end of 15 overs.

With Tim David’s hat-trick of sixes in the last over, RCB scored 196 runs for 7 wickets at the end of 20 overs.

On the other hand, Rachin Ravindra and Rahul Tripathi opened the batting attack while Bhuvneshwar Kumar opened the bowling attack. In the second over of the inning, Hazlewood dismissed Tripathi(5) and Gaikwad(0) and turned things upside down for CSK.
