Hardik Pandya: Match number 33 of the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League was played between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians (PBKS vs MI) in Chandigarh on Thursday. Mumbai won this exciting match by 9 runs which lasted till the last over. Batting first, the blue jersey team scored 192/7 runs in 20 overs. In response, despite a bad start, Punjab scored 183 runs with the help of lower order batsmen, but this score was not enough to win. After winning the match against Punjab Kings, Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya said in the post match presentation that IPL is a very difficult tournament and victory is not easy here. Apart from this, he also praised Punjab Kings for their excellent match. They said,
“A great cricket match took place today. Today we came to know how who plays under pressure. We had talked about this before the match that our character was going to be tested today. Naturally you feel that you are ahead of the game, but we know that victory does not come so easily in the IPL.”

Punjab Kings won the toss and invited Mumbai Indians to bat first, but the decision proved to be a mistake. Suryakumar Yadav played a huge inning of 78 runs in 53 balls with the help of 7 fours and 3 sixes. Apart from them, Rohit Sharma contributed 36 (25), Tilak Verma 34 (18) and Tim David contributed 14 (7) runs, taking the score of the blue jersey team to 192/7 in 20 overs.
In response to this big target, Punjab Kings did not have a good start. Half of his team returned to the pavilion by the 7th over. However, in the end, Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma tried to make their team win by playing stormy innings, but they did not succeed. Shashank scored 41 runs in 25 balls with the help of 2 fours and 3 sixes, while Ashutosh scored 61 runs in only 28 balls with the help of 2 fours and 7 sixes.
