The Ranji Trophy 2024 season has reached the semi-final stage with the line up finalized and the last four matches set to begin from Saturday (March 2) across two venues in Nagpur and Mumbai.
In the quarterfinals, four Elite Group toppers - Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Mumbai and Vidarbha beat the four Elite Group runners up - Andhra, Karnataka, Baroda and Saurashtra to reach the semi-finals.
In Quarter-Final 1, two-time champions Vidarbha defeated eight-time winners Karnataka by 127 runs in Nagpur, while record champions Mumbai earned a first innings lead to oust five-time winners Baroda in the drawn Quarter-final 2 in Mumbai.
In Quarter-final 3, two-time winners Tamil Nadu got the better of two-time champions Saurashtra by an innings and 33 runs in Coimbatore, while 2022 champions Madhya Pradesh edged Andhra by 4 runs in a rematch from last year's last eight match in Quarter-Final 4 in Indore.
