In the match, captain Shreyas Iyer made a remarkable debut for Punjab Kings, scoring an impressive 97 runs off 42 balls without being dismissed, leading his team to a formidable total of 243 for five against Gujarat Titans in their Indian Premier League encounter on Tuesday. Iyer hit nine sixes and five fours but fell short of achieving his first IPL century, while Shashank Singh contributed 44 runs off 16 balls, including 23 runs in the last over, to finish the PBKS innings strongly.

Meanwhile, Priyansh Arya, with a score of 47 runs off 23 balls, aggressively attacked the GT bowling attack without concern for his reputation.

Arya, acquired by PBKS for Rs 3.8 crore during the recent IPL auction, hit his first six off Mohammed Siraj, sending the ball over deep square leg, and then followed it with a boundary.
