The BCCI has taken a big decision for the Women's World Cup to be held in India in September this year. The BCCI has already decided five venues for the World Cup and has also made a strategy for the Pakistan team. The BCCI has decided that if Pakistan qualify, its venue will be decided outside the country. According to reports, the Women's Cricket World Cup matches will be played in five big cities of India. The tournament will be organized in Indore, Visakhapatnam, Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati and Mullanpur (Chandigarh). These eight teams will start from the last week of September and will run till the first week of November.
If Pakistan (which will participate in the qualifier to be held next month) for this tournament, an additional place can be added as a tournament venue. This decision can be taken on the basis of the agreement between BCCI and PCB, in which matches of ICC tournaments will be played on neutral venue during 2024-27.
Guwahati will not only host the Women's World Cup for the first time, but the first men's Test match will also be played on South Africa this year.
The first match of the Test series will be held in New Delhi, while the second match will be held in Guwahati. The Dilip Trophy will be played again in the 2025-26 season in the zonal format (6 teams). The tournament will be held in Bangalore in September. Teams from North Zone, East Zone, West Zone, South Zone, Central Zone and North-East Zone will participate in it. Last year, the tournament was played in the format of India A, B, C and D, which included the players selected by the National Selectors. However, some state associations did not like this format, even though many international players took part in it.
