Harpreet Brar, who has bowled exceptionally well for the Punjab-based franchise, has become their main spinner in the 17th season.
He has been impactful for the struggling team in the cash-rich league. Former India player Harbhajan Singh has compared Harpreet to Ravindra Jadeja. The legendary cricketer plays for Mumbai Indians in the cash-rich league and is a part of the Indian team across formats.
“Harpreet Brar has been good for Punjab Kings. He bowls like Ravindra Jadeja, whose deliveries don’t allow the batters to free their arms. This is what Brar has done this season. He watches the batters closely and then releases the ball from his hand,” Harbhajan Singh said.
He has taken four wickets in six games. His economical spells have contained the batters, with Punjab doing well in the middle orders. Shikhar Dhawan-led side has been let down by the top-order in almost all the games.
