The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) has been criticised for asking David Miller to rate his Knockout ‘Heartbreaks’ on camera ahead of the IPL 2025 season.

The Lucknow Super Giants made a significant addition to their squad last year when they secured the services of David Miller for INR 7.5 crore, after Gujarat Titans opted not to match the bid for the star South African batter.

During a recent promtional video featuring Miller which disappointed the fans. In the video engages in a conversation with social media influencer Shubham Gaur, where he is bizarrely asked to rank his most heartbreaking knockout defeats.

However, David Miller did answer the queries, ultimately placing South Africa’s defeat to India in the 2024 T20 World Cup final as his most painful moment.

While the video may have been intended as lighthearted content, it has backfired with many fans calling it unnecessary. The fans slammed LSG for putting their star player in an uncomfortable spot merely for engagement.

Many argued that the franchise should have been more mindful of Miller’s emotions, especially considering the fresh wounds of South Africa’s Champions Trophy heartbreak.

With Miller joining the LSG squad earlier this week, the franchise is gearing up for the new season.

The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) made a major change at the IPL in the auction last year with Rishabh Pant joining the franchise for a record breaking price of INR 27 crore.

Meanwhile, the side is battling with bowlers injury woes. Avesh Khan, Mayank Yadav and Mohsin Khan are recovering from their respective injures and is yet to be decided if they are available for the start of the IPL campaign.

Meanwhile, some reports surged that Shardul Thakur will be likely to replace Mohsin Khan and has travelled to Vishakapatnam for their opener match.

LSG will play their first match of the IPL 2025 campaign against Delhi Capitals on March 24 at ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium.
