Delhi: Pakistan created history on 21 March at Eden Park, Auckland. The visiting team achieved the target of 205 runs against New Zealand in just 16 overs. This is the fastest successful run chase of 200+ runs in T20 International. Earlier this record was named after South Africa, which scored 206 runs in 17.4 overs against the West Indies in the first T20 World Cup of 2007. Chris Gayle then scored his first century (117 runs) in T20 International, but he could not win the team.

Now, after 17 years, New Zealand's Mark Chapman scored 94 off 44 balls, but his innings also went in vain. Pakistan's young batsman Hasan Nawaz, who could not even open an account in the first two matches in this series, created history by hitting an unbeaten 105 runs off 45 balls. This is the fastest century in T20 International for Pakistan. He broke Babar Azam's record, who scored a century in 49 balls in Centurion in 2021.
