MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, established in 1916 as the second oldest cricket stadium in India, will host a few matches during the eighteenth edition of the Indian Premier League - IPL 2025, starting from Saturday (March 22).
The MA Chidambaram Stadium, also known as the Chepauk Statdium, has served as home venue to Tamil Nadu state teams, the Indian cricket team and since 2008, when Indian Premier League (IPL) started as a home to the Chennai-based franchise Chennai Super Kings.
The Den as it's fondly called by the Yellow Brigade, Chepauk Stadium will play hosts to at least seven home games of the five-time champions in the upcoming campaign of IPL.
CSK will host two matches in March, starting with the El Clasico in the first home fixture against Mumbai Indians (MI) followed by the southern derby against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The MA Chidambaram Stadium, named after former president of BCCI and Head of TNCA, will host four home games in April with Delhi Capitals (DC), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) visiting Chennai in the month.
In their final home game in May, CSK will host Rajasthan Royals as the Chepauk all set to host it's 11th season of IPL.
