South Africa allrounder Corbin Bosch has broken his silence on pulling out of the upcoming season of the PSL to play for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2025. The Pakistan Cricket Board served him a legal notice for not honoring his PSL contract.

Peshawar Zalmi had signed Bosch for the 10th edition of the tournament. However, he agreed to join the IPL as a replacement player for the injured Lizaad Williams.

In a report in Cricket Pakistan, Bosch wrote to PCB that he took a call for the sake of his career, and he didn’t mean to disrespect the PSL.

“Bosch has explained to Pakistan officials, stating that his decision was not meant to disrespect the Pakistan Super League. South Africa allrounder mentioned that he made this move for the sake of his career as Mumbai Indians are a strong IPL franchise and has its presence in other leagues of the world,” the report read.

The report further said PCB would consider his reply before acting against him. He could be banned from the PSL.

“Some sections want PCB to ban the player as the league’s credibility is important.

However, others are against the ban, which might send a negative message to other players. They want a symbolic penalty to resolve the issue. The PCB is expected to make a decision in the near future,” the report added.
