Ishan Kishan carried forward his form as Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) made it a habit of scoring 200 plus runs as last season's runners up warmed up for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season in Hyderabad.
After resuming from where they left off last season by setting a target of 261 last week in their first practice match, Sunrisers continued with their batting demolition during the SRH intra squad match simulation 2 on Tuesday (March 18).
And once again it was the latest recruit, the Indian wicketkeeper-batter Kishan, who was at the forefront of setting the target of 223 before starring again to help the chasing team past the line with few balls to spare.
Kishan, who scored back-to-back fifties in his first audition as a SRH batter, was once again among the runs, scoring 49 off 18 balls for SRH A team before retiring at 64 off 33 balls for SRH B. The 26-year-old has slotted in easily at his new franchise.

Kishan, who was bought by Sunrisers at the mega auction for Rs 11.25 Crore, has been outshining his teammates, including Abhishek Sharma as the wicketkeeper-batter scored a 23-ball 64 followed by a rapid 73-run knock in just 30 balls in the first practice match.
With these knocks, Kishan has made a huge case for his immediate selection in the SRH line up and also delivered a statement to the Indian team management, having gone out of reckoning in the national team pecking order.
Kishan, who has primarily played as an opener in his career, is expected to slot in at number three at SRH despite opening the batting in the two warm up matches as Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head will be reunited to open proceedings in the season opener.
In the two innings on Tuesday (March 18), Kishan opened first with Atharva Taide and then Abhishek as the pair put on a swift 90-plus stand for the first wicket and made the run chase an easy task for SRH B. In the first innings, Kishan also hit Abhishek for four boundaries in one over.
Abhishek and Kishan have showcased the duo can bat well together as a pair, keeping the SRH game plan intact as Pat Cummins and co look to go one step better this year after missing out on the title in 2024.
Cummins, Heinrich Klaasen, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Mohammed Shami and Travis Head have all linked up with the camp ahead of SRH's tournament opener against Rajasthan Royals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday (March 23).
