Rohit Sharma doesn’t have any issues in playing against Pakistan. He lauded the neighbouring country for their talented cricketers. Rohit was the guest on The Club Prairie Fite”s podcast. Former England captain Michael Vaughan spoke about the need of organizing a Test series between India and Pakistan to keep the format alive and kicking.

“Test cricket has gone through a lot in the last few years. I believe India and Pakistan playing a Test series will make the game more interesting and appealing. I know the two can’t play at their homes due to politics. The Test matches can be played in UK, Abu Dhabi and Dubai,” Michael Vaughan said.

Adam Gilchrist added the name of the Melbourne Cricket Ground to the list of proposed venues.

“Yeah. Pakistan are a good team and they have superb bowling line-up. It will nice to play against them in the Test series in overseas conditions. We haven’t played a Test against them for a long time. I think the last time the two teams competed was 2006 or 2008. Wasim Jaffer scored a double hundred in one of the games.

“I am ready to play Test matches against them. We play with them in the ICC tournament. It will be a good contest between both teams. I am not concerned about anything else. All I want a good battle between bat and ball,” Rohit Sharma said.

Cricket Australia has proposed to organize a Test match or a series between India and Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

The last Test series between the two arch-rivals was played in India. The host nation won the three-match series by a margin of 1-0.
