Mumbai Indians Women defeated Delhi Capitals Women by 8 runs to win the WPL 2025 title. With their latest success, the MI are the first franchise to lift the trophy for the second time in the tournament’s three-year history. Batting first. Harmanpreet Kaur’s side struggled in the batting department, posing 149/7 in 20 overs.

Harmanpreet played the captain’s knock, scoring 66 runs off 44 balls, laced with 9 fours and 2 sixes.

Nat Sciver-Brunt contributed 30 runs off 28 balls, hitting four boundaries.

For DC, Marizanne Kapp, Jess Jonassen, and Shree Charani took two wickets each.

Like Mumbai, Delhi were found wanting in the batting department and managed 141/9 in 20 overs. Jemimah Rodrigues (30 runs off 21 balls), Marizanne Kapp (40 off 26 balls) and Niki Prasad (25* off 23 balls) were the only batters who looked in touch with the bat. Nat Sciver-Brunt dismissed three batters, while Amelia Kerr took two wickets for the Mumbai Indians.
