After an indifferent season in 2024, Gujarat Titans will be aiming to get back to the playoffs in IPL 2025. After winning the title in their debut season and finishing as runners-up in the second one, GT finished 8th in 2024 under the captaincy of Shubman Gill.

The Titans decided to shake things up ahead of the new season and made some big-money and smart buys during the IPL 2025 auction. Gujarat were able to buy the likes of Jos Buttler, Kagiso Rabada and Mohammed Siraj. There were some low-cost buys made in the form of Glenn Phillips, Sherfane Rutherford and Gerald Coetzee.

Titans had retained Rashid Khan, Gill, Rahul Tewatia, Shahrukh Khan and Sai Sudharsan before the auction and the new stars are expected to help Gujarat make a push for the title. With Ashish Nehra at the helm as coach and with Gill hoping to step up as a leader, the Titans could end up being one of the most exciting teams in this year's IPL.
