Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) fast bowler Mayank Yadav can be out of the first half of IPL 2025. According to the news of ESPNcricinfo, Mayank is recovering from the lower back injury. He has recently resumed bowling at the BCCI's Center of Excellence in Bengaluru. Let us know that Mayank was injured after an international debut in the T20 series against Bangladesh in October last year.

No date has been set by the BCCI regarding Mayank's return. But he may return to the second half of the IPL.

Mayank's absence in the first half can prove to be a big shock to Lucknow Super Giants. He retained Rs 11 crore before the mega auction by the franchise. Let me tell you that in IPL 2024, Lucknow was added with him for Rs 20 lakh, because he was an unkapped bowler at that time.

Mayank made headlines by bowling at a speed of 150 kilometers per hour last season and was a consecutive player of the match in his first two matches of the IPL. He then got a chance to debut for India.

Mayank played only four matches in IPL 2024 due to the side strain. During the rehab, Mayank got another trick, which delayed his return but then got a chance in the Bangladesh T20 series. Although the BCCI has not given any official information about Mayank's injury, it is believed that he is blowing from the lower back injury.

Lucknow Super Giants will play their first match in IPL 2025 against Delhi Capitals in Visakhapatnam on 24 March. The franchise has made Rishabh Pant the captain of the team, who bought in the mega auction for Rs 27 crore.
