IPL 2024, GT Vs DC Match Highlights : Led by Rishabh Pant, Delhi Capitals (DC) registered their third win in Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024). Delhi defeated Gujarat Titans (G) by 6 wickets in the match played on Wednesday (April 17). This match was played at Gujarat's home ground i.e. Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Batting first, Gujarat's innings was reduced to just 89 runs. Only 3 Gujarat players could cross double figures. On the other hand, Delhi got off to a good start in chasing the target. Because Jake Fraser McGurk took the team's score past 20 in the second over. McGurk was dismissed for 20 off 10 balls while trying to play a big shot. He also hit 2 fours and 2 sixes in this innings. Meanwhile, due to the continuous fall of wickets, the condition of Delhi also seemed to be a bit of a struggle.

Prithvi Shaw, Shay Hope and Abhishek Porel rallied Delhi's innings after McGurk was dismissed. Abhishek scored 15 runs off just 7 balls in a low-scoring match. He also hit 2 fours and 1 six. Delhi's score reached 67 runs in 6 overs of Powerplay, but the team also lost 4 wickets.

Now the team needed only 23 runs to win, but the constant falling wickets began to put pressure on the DC batsmen. In such a situation, captain Rishabh Pant took the responsibility, who scored 16 runs in 11 balls to secure the team's victory by 6 wickets. Delhi's win with 67 balls to spare saw their net run rate improve considerably.

Delhi won the match by 6 wickets. Bowling from Delhi, Mukesh Kumar took 3 wickets and broke the back of Gujarat Titans' batting. Apart from him, Ishant Sharma and Tristan Stubbs also took 2 wickets in the same over to send Gujarat on the backfoot.

After this, Jake Fraser McGurk laid the foundation for Delhi Capitals' win. Had it not been for his scintillating knock of 20 runs, DC would have been under pressure early on. Abhishek Porel and Shay Hope then made the match one-sided.
