Delhi: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) fielding coach Ryan Ten Desch Kante has given a big update on the fitness of star batsman Rinku Singh. Rinku, one of the best players of the team, has been seen batting only in the last few matches. The truth is that he was a part of KKR's playing eleven in the first four matches of the current season, but he did not field.
After the match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Tuesday, the former Netherlands captain confirmed that Rinku has suffered an injury. He was not fielding for the last few matches. The team management is taking full care of Rinku's fitness and she will be brought back to the field only after she is completely fit.
“Rinku Singh has a minor injury, but he is not completely fit and we want to give him rest,” 43-year-old Ryan said at Kolkata's Eden Gardens. “Once he fully recovers, he will return to the field as a fielder.”
After the defeat against Rajasthan Royals, Rinku Singh himself confirmed this and said, “I had a little problem, so I could not field. I will field properly in the next match on 21st.” In such a situation, he is hopeful that he will be completely fit to take the field in the Kharelu match to be played against Royal Challengers Bangalore on 21st April.
