South Africa played a perfect match against England, registering a 7-wicket win to top Group B in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Chasing 180 runs for their second win in the tournament, the Proteas completed the task in 29.1 overs. Rassie van der Dussen and Heinrich Klassen scored the fifties to perfect the chase. Klaasen, who was playing his first contest, hit fours and sixes. South Africa finished the group stage with 5 points, while Australia accumulated 4 points from the same number of contests.

Earlier, England were bowled out for 179 runs in 38.2 overs. Joe Root was the highest run-getter for his team, posting 37 runs. Marco Jansen and Wiaan Mulder took three wickets each, respectively.
