Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has extended Mustafizur Rahman’s No Objection Certificate (NOC) for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by one day, after which instead of returning to Bangladesh on April 30, he will now be playing for Punjab Kings (PBKS). Will also be available for the May 1 match against the team. With this, Mustafizur will now be available for CSK’s back-to-back matches against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 19 and 23, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 28 and PBKS on May 1. Mustafizur will then return to his hometown for Bangladesh’s home T20 series against Zimbabwe from May 3 to 12, and the T20 series against the United States in Texas on May 21. “We had given Mustafizur leave till April 30 to play in the IPL, but since the match in Chennai is on May 1, we have requested Chennai and the BCCI,” BCB’s deputy manager of cricket operations Shahryar Nafees was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo. Upon meeting, his leave has been extended by one day.” Mustafizur has taken ten wickets in five matches at an average of 18.30, including his first ever four-wicket haul in the 17th edition of the IPL. This is his biggest performance in the IPL since the 2021 season, when he played for Rajasthan Royals (RR). The left-arm fast bowler was in Dhaka last week to complete US visa formalities for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
