Lucknow: Indian team's opening batsman and Yashasvi Jaiswal, who plays for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, is in bad form these days. He has got starts many times in IPL 2024 but has failed to play big innings. However, former Indian batsman Ambati Rayudu has given a big statement about Jaiswal and compared him with former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly. Yashasvi could not score a big score in this match but he played some good shots. Seeing his shots, even Rayudu could not stop himself from praising the left-handed batsman. He said, “Whenever I see Yashasvi Jaiswal batting, it feels like Sourav Ganguly is back to bat again. The way he plays shots and his bat swing is exactly like his grandfather.”
Let us tell you that Ganguly was also a left-handed batsman and he also used to open the innings. Apart from this, Sourav used to try to play aggressive cricket from the beginning and like him, Jaiswal also plays attacking cricket. In such a situation, Ambati has now compared him with Ganguly.

Disappointing performance of Yashasvi Jaiswal in IPL 2024
This season of the 22 year old player has been quite disappointing. He has played 7 matches so far, in which he has scored only 121 runs with his bat at a very ordinary average of 17.29 and strike rate of 145.78. During this period, he has not been able to score a single half-century and his best score has been 39 runs. However, this season the player made good starts in many innings but failed to convert them into big scores.
