Lucknow: Former Indian opener Kris Srikkanth has criticized the team a lot after the defeat of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Let us tell you that in the match played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday, RCB bowlers performed disappointingly and their team gave away a lot of runs. Hyderabad made the highest score in the history of IPL in this match, chasing which Bengaluru also scored 262 runs. However, this was not enough and the team lost by 25 runs.
Batting first in this match, SRH scored 287 runs at the loss of 3 wickets and with this they broke their old record of 277 runs. In this match, the bowlers of the team captained by Faf du Plessis gave away a lot of runs and all the bowlers spent runs with an economy of more than 10. Their two foreign bowlers Reece Topley and Lockie Ferguson conceded 120 runs in 8 overs and the result was that Hyderabad scored such a huge score. While talking on his YouTube channel after the match, Srikanth was seen angry at RCB.

He said, “Reece Topley and Lockie Ferguson are getting a lot of bashing. They have not performed well in the IPL and Will Jacques has been their best bowler. It would be better if they play 11 batsmen. Ask captain Faf du Plessis to bowl 2 overs. Apart from this, make Cameron Green bowl 4 overs also. I think if Virat Kohli had bowled 4 overs, he would not have given so many runs.”
Taking his conversation further, Srikanth said, “At one time I was feeling very bad for Virat Kohli because he was just watching the balls going out of the stadium. When Virat came to bat he was very angry. So for Hyderabad, first Travis Head struck and then Heinrich Klaasen and finally Abdul Samad's innings was also very important.
Players are not responsible for this defeat of RCB
The former Indian cricketer further said that “He dropped Mohammed Siraj, also removed Glenn Maxwell from the playing eleven. Apart from this, Cameron Green, whom he included in his team for Rs 17.5 crore, was also shown the way out. Alzarri Joseph was also bought for Rs 11.5 crore and he is also sitting outside now. My salute to the scouting team of RCB. I do not hold the players responsible for this at all and only the team management can be blamed for this.”
