The BCCI announced the full Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 schedule on Sunday. Five-time champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will play its opening match against Mumbai Indians on March 23 at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side failed to reach the playoffs in the previous edition, finishing fifth with seven wins and seven losses.
The 10-team league is scheduled to begin 12 days after the Champions Trophy final on March 9 and will take place across 12 venues, including the 10 traditional home grounds of the franchises, along with Guwahati (Rajasthan Royals’ second venue) and Dharamsala (Punjab Kings’ second venue).

Each team will play 14 matches during the league phase, which comprises a total of 70 matches. The playoffs will be held from May 20 to May 25. Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator will take place on May 20 and 21, respectively, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
The tournament will conclude at the iconic Eden Gardens, with Qualifier 2 and the final being held in the city of Kolkata.
