There’s been a lot of discussion regarding the future of Rohit Sharma after he quit the captaincy of Mumbai Indians and Hardik Pandya was assigned as the skipper of the team.

Before the IPL 2025 season starts, there will be a big auction, and rumors suggest Rohit might leave MI and put himself up for auction. Several teams may be interested in him, and Preity Zinta, owner of Punjab Kings, has said she’ll try to buy Rohit if he’s available at the auction.

According to some web portals and media sources, Preity Zinta had said, “I will bet my life to get Rohit Sharma if he comes in the mega auction. We are only missing a captain in our team who brings on some stability and a champion mindset.”

However, the co-owner of Punjab Kings has never made such a statement on a former Mumbai Indians player.

It is obvious that everyone wants a player like Rohit Sharam in his/her franchise but as of now, the cricketer is serving his team in the ongoing season of IPL 2024.

In the last match against Chennai Super Kings played at Wankhede on April 14, 2024, Mumbai Indians lost the game by 20 runs but Rohit Sharma got a solid hundred in the match and scored 105 runs in 63 balls including 11 fours and five sixes.
