Dinesh Karthik played a sensational knock for Royal Challengers Bengaluru while chasing 288, but his effort went in vain as Sunrisers Hyderabad won the game by 25 runs in IPL 2024.
The hosts were down and out in their chase, but Karthik added some life to their effort. He was dismissed after scoring 83 runs off 35 balls, laced with 7 sixes and 5 fours. Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli looked in good touch but didn’t carry on for a long time.
Earlier, Travis Head’s well-compiled hundred and Heinrich Klaasen’s sublime fifty took the visitors to the highest total in the tournament’s history.
