But in the Nagpur ODI on Thursday 6 January, he was kept out of the playing XI due to knee pain. This is the first time after 1130 days when he is out of the Indian team due to injury. With this, this has happened 5 times in Kohli's career, when he fell victim to injury and due to this he could not play international matches.
Virat Kohli missed a match due to injury 1130 days before Nagpur ODI. He could not play the second Test match on the tour of South Africa in 2022. He had a cramp in his back before the Test held between 3 and 6 January, due to which he missed the match. Due to his exit, the team vice -captain KL Rahul captained for the first time in this match. However, his start was not good for him and South Africa won 7 wickets in this match.
