Former player Sanjay Bangar lauded Ravindra Jadeja for his continuity and match-winning abilities in one-day cricket. He commented after the all-rounder took three wickets in the first ODI against England in Nagpur. The veteran dismissed Joe Root (19), Jacob Bethell (51) and Adil Rashid (8) and conceded 26 runs from his nine overs, including a maiden.

He has been a regular member of the fifty-over squad and once again showed his importance. Several former players feel that the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be Ravindra’s last tournament in international cricket. However, he is not slowing down.

“MS Dhoni says that even he (Ravindra Jadeja) doesn’t know about his qualities. His batting has improved over the years, and he has been a phenomenal bowler from the start. He is a terrific fielder and overall Jadeja is a complete package,” Sanjay Bangar said on Sports 18.

Suresh Raina agreed with Bangar’s view. “He has been winning matches for the teams. Jadeja won IPL for Chennai Super Kings, and there have been several instances when he has given match-winning performances for India,” he said.

His form has dipped outside India, and despite the backing of the team management in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, he didn’t give important contributions.
